Trip to Pensacola Beach

We took a short trip to the beach to visit Abuelito (Grandpa) and Suzi.  The kids had lots of fun swimming and playing in the sand.  It was great to see them bond with Jeff’s Dad as they had not seen him in over a year.  The trip was a well needed break from the daily grind.  We look forward to returning soon.

Dad drove at night back and forth so that was relatively painless.  Flash came along and was the main downer of the trip as he had a little anxiety which lead to bowl issues – I’ll just leave it at that.  Next time Flash will go to the German Shepherd farm were he belongs!!!

I quick shout out to Louisiana and Mississippi – thanks for the traffic citations at 2AM (one going and one returning home).  I love me some speed traps!

Sofia in Spring

Spring is here and Sofia is happy to be outside playing.  She can’t wait until it gets a little warmer so she can start swimming.  We are making a trip to Pensacola, FL next week to visit Abuelito Gordon and Suzi.  It will be Sofia’s first time to see the ocean and play on the beach.

Snowy February 2010

DFW received record snow fall Valentine’s weekend.  Both Josh and Sofia were sick, but we couldn’t keep them from their chance to play in the snow.  Plano received something like 9 inches, it was fun the couple days it lasted.  Click on thumbnails for full size pics…..

Sofia continues to become more independent.  She is almost 31/2 and has decided it would be a good time to test Mommy and Daddy’s discipline again.  She is constantly pushing her boundaries which we hope will subside soon!  Overall she is well behaved and very interested in new things.

Christmas 2009

Josh and Sofia were both old enough to really enjoy Christmas this year.  Sofia has a grasp of who Santa is and likes the concept that some jolly old man in a red suit brings her cool stuff once a year.  Sofia’s favorite gift this year was her pink kitchen.  Josh got a tricycle which he’ll enjoy much more once it warms up outside.

Sofia is now well into her 3s and becoming more and more independent.  She still loves mom and dad but speaks her mind which is sometimes good, sometimes bad.

Sofia’s 3rd Birthday

The party was at a local gymnastics center.  Sofia and her friends seemed to enjoy it.  I know most us parents did as the kids went to play with the instructor on their own.  The theme was Hello Kitty…..and Sofia is still talking about it 2 weeks later.  The pics are thumbnails so click on them to enlarge.

Josh has now transitioned to Sofia’s school so they are together.  The transition was hard as expected but Josh has now settled in and seems happy as ever.  It is nice for mom and dad to have them at the same place.  Enjoy the pics below…..

Sofia approaches 3 years

Sofia turns 3 next month.  She has changed so much and for the most part is a great big sister as long as Josh isn’t in her stuff.  She has recently started giving mommy and daddy kisses which is sweet.  Now only if daddy could keep her from sharing those with other boys her age!
